The grand unveiling welcomed guests, government officials, and tourism stakeholders to a reimagined and reinvigorated property that promises high-end accommodations and services for discerning travellers.
General Manager Ricardo Esteban expressed his enthusiasm for the transformation, describing the resort’s vision to elevate the island’s hospitality offering.
“Secrets Resort and Spa, we are an incredible hotel of 355 rooms where we are going to be able to bring all the luxury and all the high-end service that all the people in Saint Lucia want, and we know how to present to any single one of our visitors,” Esteban said.
The adult-only, all-inclusive property now joins a competitive portfolio of luxury resorts in Saint Lucia, positioning itself as a leader in upscale tourism. The resort’s opening also signals new economic opportunities for local suppliers, service providers, and residents.
Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Senator Guibion Ferdinand, pledged the government’s continued support in enabling such developments.
“It tells me the contribution and the impact that this project makes to our economy and to our people,” he noted. “Think about the benefits to our taxi drivers, as well as our other service providers, the agricultural industry… I’m sure that for your gastronomy, some of what you’re going to be using will be supplied locally.”
Chairman of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Thaddeus Antoine, underscored how Secrets Resort and Spa aligns with the island’s broader tourism strategy. “This development supports our national vision for tourism development. A vision rooted in quality, sustainability, and strategic expansion. By welcoming a high-end, adult-only brand like Secrets to Saint Lucia, we are enhancing the calibre of our accommodation, increasing our competitive advantage, and attracting even more discerning travellers to our island.”
The opening of this hotel is expected to significantly increase the island’s room stock for visitors.
