The incident, which occurred in Coolie Town, Marigot, reportedly stemmed from a heated argument between two brothers that had been building for several days.

One resident, who spoke to the media on condition of anonymity, revealed that the disagreement began when one brother accused the other of stealing his phone.

“I think for a couple of days they had been arguing about a phone,” the resident said. “One fell asleep in the house, and the other suspected that one of the brothers went into the home and took the phone.”

According to the resident, tensions continued to rise over a span of three to four days. The situation took a violent turn when the argument exploded into a brutal physical confrontation.

“They argued and argued until the point where… one lost their limb. ”

Eyewitnesses described a gruesome scene, with the injured sibling fleeing the house and collapsing nearby. A graphic video now circulating on social media captures the aftermath, showing the wounded man being rushed to the hospital.

Authorities have not yet released an official statement on the incident.
