Minister Jn Baptiste has assured the nation that the St. Jude Hospital reconstruction is in its final stages, with the facility on track to begin operations before the end of the year.

His remarks came ahead of Tuesday’s sitting of Parliament.

According to the minister, physical work on the hospital is now almost complete.” According to him, many rooms have already been furnished, and medical equipment has begun arriving and is being installed.

Furniture has already been put in many of the rooms where work has been completed. Some equipment is already in Saint Lucia and being installed, with more appliances on the way,” Jn Baptiste confirmed.

He emphasised that the administration intends to keep its commitment, noting that Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has already indicated a full transition before year-end.

The Minister’s remarks follow a site visit conducted by health officials last week.
