merican-based Robinson Smiles and Hope Foundation have partnered with the Ministry of Health to donate essential health equipment to medical facilities across Saint Lucia.

This initiative, organised in collaboration with John Hopkins University Hospital in the U.S., follows the Foundation's similar charitable efforts throughout the Caribbean.

Saint Lucia’s Ambassador to the Diaspora, His Excellency Julian Dubois, emphasized the importance of such partnerships between Saint Lucia and donor foundations, highlighting their crucial role in enhancing the island's healthcare infrastructure.

We explored possible support and this is one of the agreements made. There's an agreement between the Ministry of Health and our embassy in Washington DC to facilitate these periodic donations, and these have been coming regularly,” H.E Dubois said.

Foundation Representative Julia Robinson stated that Robinson Smiles and Hope chose Saint Lucia for this round of donations after years of charitable efforts in the region.

We have a partnership with Johns Hopkins University Hospital in the States…we have a partnership with them. So what they do, they donate their excess materials, supplies to Robinson Smiles and Hope. In turn, we have chosen Saint Lucia. We've been donating to Barbados for the past 15 years,” she said.

Syringes, vaginal swabs and catheters are among the equipment donated.
