"W

hen it comes to events in Saint Lucia, Martinique is always there with us,” remarked Tourism Minister Ernest Hilaire at the launch of 2024 Sun Fest.

The 2024 Yamaha SunFest Beach Festival will take place on November 2nd at Pigeon Point.

The event, which is organised by motor company Yamaha, will grace Saint Lucia’s shores this year as part of deepening relations with Martinique.

Tourism Minister Ernest Hilaire welcomes the event and pledges the government’s support in Yamaha’s expansion to Saint Lucia.

This was a very easy decision - very easy. In the past, we’ve had a beach festival which was hugely successful. So when Yamaha reached out to us and said they’re expanding their business in Saint Lucia…we said we can’t say no,” Hilaire said at the media launch on August 8th.

Chairman of the Events Company of Saint Lucia, Leo Clarke, underscored the importance of quality events and their positive impacts on those working in the orange economy.

We are determined to ensure that the Yamaha SunFest 2024 is a resounding success and finds its place among the country’s well established list of annual festivals. Yamaha SunFest also fits into our parent Ministry’s strategy to create quality in Saint Lucia so that tourists and events seekers are further encouraged to visit and service providers continue to be gainfully engaged,” he said.
