According to reports from bystanders, the driver of the vehicle, a female, said the collision with the pump was a result of a panic. According to her, her child made a noise that startled her, causing her to press the accelerator. As a result, the SUV ran headfirst into the pump. The front bumper of the vehicle suffered extensive damage.
