ince Commissioner Cruscita Descartes-Pelius proceeded on pre-retirement leave in June 2023, the RSLPF has been led by Deputy Commissioner Ronald Phillip.

Answering duty’s call, Commissioner Descartes-Pelius has returned to the helm of the Force, effective September 1st, 2023, for one (1) year. She is the first female police commissioner, having been first appointed in October 2022.

Under the stead of Deputy Commissioner Phillip, the RSLPF reported some 3,000 passports were issued in under three weeks, clearing up a significant backlog. Phillip also oversaw the seizure of large quantities of illegal firearms and ammunition; as well as the arrests of illegal gun owners.

SNO has been reliably informed by well-placed government sources that Phillip is being groomed to be Top Cop in the future. Reports indicate that he will also undergo special leadership training overseas. It is also believed that the move will allow for the investigation [once a report is made] of any allegations of misconduct, free from what has been deemed as political mischief by the Opposition UWP, or the Police Welfare Association.

“The Minister for National Security looks forward to the support of all officers as the government commits to preparing officers for future leadership positions and the strengthening of the police force,” a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office said.

SNO can confirm that there have been no reported allegations of sexual misconduct by any senior police officers.
