Saint Lucia Named “Best Caribbean Island” 2023

n response to the increase in violent, youth-led crimes, the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force [RSLPF] has held the first phase of consultations to create a Crime Action Plan.

The Readers’ Choice Awards, known for their rigorous evaluation and reliance on the feedback of discerning travelers, have affirmed Saint Lucia’s standing as a top destination in the Caribbean. Recently, the island also maintained another coveted position - World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination for the 15th time.

This accolade is a testament to the dedication of our tourism stakeholders and the warm hospitality that defines Saint Lucia. It inspires us to continue our commitment to excellence, sustainable tourism practices, and the continuous development of our destination,” said the nation’s Tourism and Investment Minister Dr. Ernest Hilaire.

The government has announced increased hotel investments for the island, with no less than 3 new hotels being built currently. Additionally, with the launch of the Community Tourism Agency, locals are poised to be an active part of the tourism product.
