President Irfaan Ali to Deliver Speech at Special Independence House Sitting

rime Minister Philip J. Pierre expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming visit of Guyana's President, Dr. Irfaan Ali, to Saint Lucia on Wednesday.

Highlighting the longstanding friendship between the two nations, Prime Minister Pierre welcomed President Ali as a special guest for Saint Lucia's 45th Independence Anniversary celebrations.

During his visit, President Ali will have the opportunity to address an extraordinary Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture luncheon, further strengthening diplomatic ties and fostering economic collaboration between the two countries.

We are excited to have him,” Pierre told reporters regarding the visit, during which Ali will address a joint parliament session. “There was a lot of movement. Saint Lucians went to Guyana and then Guyanese came to Saint Lucia. His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali will speak on Opportunities to Do Business in Guyana,” he said.

As both nations commemorate Saint Lucia's Independence Anniversary, President Ali's presence serves as a testament to the enduring bonds of friendship and cooperation that exist between Saint Lucia and Guyana.
