This Resort has two brands, Dreams and Zoetry, plus Canelles Oceanfront Apartments, which offer a high level of luxury for couples and couples with children in ideal beachfront settings.
Khan explains that environmental conservation is front of mind for Galaxy Real Estate as plans are underway to preserve the beachfront, flora and fauna.
“We are also including work that is geared towards beach management. So we hired a consultant who has given us designs, and has done the work to determine the flow of the beach area, the water going into the beaches, and also the various currents. They have come up with various recommendations and we are continuing to evaluate the recommendations to protect the bay at all costs. As part of the overall development, we are ensuring that the flora and fauna of the area is maintained and we are ensuring that as much of the local vegetation is maintained,” Khan explained.
The developer adds that once completed, the resort will significantly add to the country’s employment figures and room stock.
“When this hotel opens, we would expect employment of about 400 individuals to ensure that the hotel is running to the standards. This hotel would definitely contribute to this stock, the room stock of St. Lucia, one that we know is in very, very high demand,” he said.
Room accommodation is currently in high demand in Saint Lucia as two hotels in the north close briefly to undergo renovations. Khan says the resort is expected to be completed mid-2025.
In the meantime, tourism officials in Saint Lucia are working to increase airlift into the country using international carriers. Regional travel, on the other hand, remains a major cause for concern.
