P

hilippe Martinez and MSR Media have encountered a buffer in US Courts following a ruling from Judge Roy Altman quashing their motion for a subpoena.

This high-profile case involves Phillipe Martinez trying to seize documents to prove his allegations against Kittian officials of corruption in the CBI industry.

On 7th February 2024, Phillippe Martinez and MSR Media SKN Ltd filed without notice motion before United States District Court in the Southern District of Florida compelling a subpoena on Bank of America seeking documentary evidence of CBI-related transactions into and out of US bank accounts.

Martinez and MSR Media claimed that they are defendants in pending proceedings in St. Kitts and that this information was required to demonstrate the truth of the allegations made in the alleged defamatory letter.

Dr Timothy Harris became aware of the proceedings and on 29th February 2024 filed a motion to quash the subpoena. This motion to quash was joined by Caribbean Galaxy on 4th March 2024.

Dr. Timothy Harris’s motion to quash the subpoena served on Bank of America [ECF No. 10] was been granted. Consequently, the subpoena issued to Bank of America has been quashed.

The decision came after a thorough review by Judge Altman, who emphasised the need for careful consideration of the discovery’s scope and its potential implications.

In addition to the motion filed by Martinez seeking documents from the Bank of America, he has been on a legal manhunt in the OECS, trying to implicate Saint Lucian and Kittian CBI Officials in alleged corrupt practices.

Victory in the courts will see a hefty payday for Martinez who claims that he has lost millions as an actor in the St. Kitts & Nevis Citizenship Investment programme.
