308 Runs for Akeem August - First Ever in Saint Lucian History!

ckeem Auguste became the first Saint Lucian batter to score a triple century (308) for a national cricket team.

He smashed Dominica’s Under-23 bowling on the third day of a Bilateral Series reaching the landmark nearing lunch at the Mindoo Phillip Park on Monday, August 19, 2024.

It helped Saint Lucia pull off an innings victory Auguste who opened the batting faced 257 deliveries hitting 24 fours and 18 towering sixes at a strike rate of 119.84.  Saint Lucia amassed 488 all out in 96.4 overs, a lead of 134 runs: Ackeem Auguste 308, Royce Paul 48 not out, Jayden Elibox 38 were the leading scorers. Kyron. Phillip picked up four for 106.

Dominica Under-23 batted first and scored 354 all out in 97 overs. Captain Stephen Pascal 160, Kyron Phillip 49, Jed Joseph, and Jahseon Alexander 27 each were their chief contributors. Sky La Feuille four for 61 and Royce Paul three for 41 were the chief wicket-takers for the home team. 

Dominica batting a second time was bowled out 124 giving Saint Lucia victory by an innings and 10 runs. Jed Joseph topscored with 40. Jaden Elibox bagged three for 11 with two wickets each to Keon Gaston, Sky LaFeuille and Lee John.
