Saint Lucia Athletics Association Names Team for 2025 NACAC Athletics Championship

he Saint Lucia Athletics Association (SLAA) is proud to announce the national team selected to represent the island at the 2025 NACAC Athletics Championship, scheduled for August 15–17, 2025, in Freeport, Bahamas.

The team will travel to Freeport during the week of Monday, 11th August 2025, in preparation for the Championship.

Leading the delegation will be Mr. Theodore Henry Bailey, serving as Team Leader/Congress Delegate, with Mr. Asa Lionel appointed as Coach. The athletes selected to compete are:

  • Hannah Charles (Rockets Athletic Club/ University of Technology Jamaica) – Women’s 400m
  • Aasia Laurencin (Michigan) – Women’s 100m Hurdles
  • Marvric Pamphile (Choiseul Athletics Club/ Rugby & Northampton Club/ British Army Sport) – Men’s 400m
  • Augustin Alexander (Elite T&F Club) – Men’s 100m & 200m
  • Cagini Pilgrim (SP Survivors /Lewis University) – Men’s 100m & 200m

The NACAC Athletics Championship bring together top athletes from across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, providing a high-level platform for competition and showcasing the region’s athletic talent.

SLAA 1st Vice President Makeba Alcide expressed pride in the team’s selection: “This is an exciting opportunity for our athletes to test themselves against some of the best in the NACAC region. We are confident that this team will represent Saint Lucia with determination, sportsmanship, and excellence."

President Dora Henry extends her heartfelt congratulations to the athletes selected to represent Saint Lucia at the 2025 NACAC Athletics Championship and wishes them every success as they prepare to compete on the regional stage.
