Speaking with fiery conviction, Dr. Harracksingh accused Chastanet of offering little more than performative representation during his 10 years in office.
“Tell Santa Claus (Allen Chastanet) to bring his resignation to the constituency…when the bell rings, that’s it for you. We have come to the end of this long rope, and the high tension voltage and the youth exuberance tell just that,” she said.
Dr. Harracksingh announced that she will prioritise education and healthcare in her campaign, including a pledge to secure one medical scholarship per year for a resident of Micoud South. She framed this as part of her vision for meaningful opportunities in a constituency she says has been neglected.
“As a medical doctor, I can say healthcare in this country is moving to a better place than it was four years ago. We are staying with Philip J Pierre and the Saint Lucia Labour Party. We will send Chastanet on retirement.”
Her remarks signal the SLP’s determination to flip Micoud South, a stronghold of the opposition United Workers Party.
