Saint Lucia Shines at 2025 World Travel Awards, Honoring Island’s Tourism Heroes

Ernest Hilaire, Saint Lucia’s Minister for Tourism, praised the dedication of Saint Lucians working across the tourism sector, emphasizing that the island’s continued success is the result of every vendor, tour operator, hospitality professional, and resort staff member contributing to the visitor experience.

 He said the 2025 World Travel Awards are not only a celebration of excellence but also a recognition of the teamwork and commitment that make Saint Lucia a leading Caribbean destination.

The awards ceremony, held on October 4 at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, saw Saint Lucia claim multiple honors, further cementing its reputation for luxury, romance, and adventure travel. “This is a testament to the hard work of our people and the quality of experiences we offer visitors,” Dr. Hilaire added. “Every success in tourism reflects the dedication, creativity, and passion of Saint Lucians across the sector.”

For the 17th time, Saint Lucia was named Caribbean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination, and for the 4th consecutive year, the island earned Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination.

Tourism Ambassador Julien Alfred also spoke at the ceremony, reflecting on Saint Lucia’s growth on the global stage: “Wherever I go, I carry the strength, beauty, and resilience of Saint Lucia. Hosting the World Travel Awards here is a powerful statement of our excellence, and I am proud to welcome guests from across the Caribbean and North America. This evening reminds us to continue striving for excellence in tourism and beyond.”
