he management of the Bordelais Correctional Facility [BCF] has provided some clarity regarding the circumstances surrounding the escape of inmate Elwin Lansiquot.

Lansiquot is serving a 20-year sentence for two counts of rape, kidnapping and false imprisonment. Deputy Director of Corrections, Leonard Terrance, says the day had started like any other until Lansiquot was nowhere to be found. According to the BCF, he had already served 15 out of his 20-year sentence.

“At the time of his escape, inmate Lansiquot was undertaking his daily chores as he has done for many years…The inmate was noticed missing when the officer called on him [several times], for which there was no response. The officer immediately combed the entire area where the inmate should have been undertaking his chores to no avail.” Terrance revealed.

He continued, “Once it was clear to the officer that the inmate was nowhere to be found, the authorities were immediately alerted and the management of the [BCF] was also alerted. Likewise, the [RSLPF] was also alerted to the possible escape of [the inmate].”

Elwin Lansiquot, also known as “Big Dude” or “La Por Ta”, is 5ft 11 inches in height, with a moderately muscular frame. His last known address is Riverside Road, Canaries. Members of the public with any information or sightings of the inmate-at-large are encouraged to immediately contact the nearest police station or the Police Crime Hotline at 555.
