Two Recent Homicides Under Investigation by Police

he Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is currently investigating two recent gun-related homicides.

Both homicides are teenage males rumored to be involved in gang-related activities, however, law enforcement has not been able to confirm this.

On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at about 6:45 a.m., Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department, Castries, received and responded to a report of a shooting at Ti Rocher, Castries. The Officers found the motionless body of a male individual lying on his back in a supine position on his bed, with apparent wounds to his head,” an RSLPF release disclosed. The victim was later identified as 18-year-old Terry James of Ravine Poisson, Castries.

The RSLPF is also investigating the November 24 homicide of Mikus Prescott in Commercial Street, Vieux Fort. 

Upon arrival at the scene, the investigators found an unresponsive male individual lying on his back on the pavement. He was being attended to by the Emergency Medical Technicians from the Saint Lucia Fire Service. He had what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his abdomen and right forearm,” the RSLPF said.

The Force informs the public that the investigations into these incidents are ongoing.
