Gillian ‘GT’ Talian sustained fatal injuries to his torso, becoming the seventh homicide victim on the island this year. The RSLPF promptly initiated investigations into the incident.

On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, officers from the Major Crimes Unit apprehended Jamal Ricky Williams, filing murder charges against him on Friday, January 26th.

Witnesses at the scene of the incident say Talian attempted to quell an argument between two men when he was shot, sustaining fatal injuries to his torso.

The family of the deceased is making a tearful plea to gang members and holders of illegal arms to seek peace, as opposed to violence.

“I just wish all this gun violence would just end. I don’t like it - at all. Anytime I hear a gun, I’m already panicking. I wish it would all stop. All these gang things, they need to be stopped. I can’t take this,” his cousin said.

Jamal Ricky Williams was denied bail and remanded to the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
