Police Seize Gun, Arrest Man in Recent Operations

uring two separate operations, police charged a male and recovered an illegal firearm.

In one instance, a suspect is nursing injuries after being shot by law enforcement due to non-compliance.

In the most recent operation on March 12th, 2024, the Traffic Enforcement Team and Patrol Teams utilised numerous warrants to apprehend an attempted murder suspect.

“During this operation, Police Officers executed four (4) Warrants to Search for Property and apprehended one (1) male suspect on a Warrant of Arrest in the First Instance for Attempted Murder. The individual has been identified as Jamal Paul alias “Brace” of Ciceron, Castries. Jamal Paul will be expected to be escorted to the First District Court for bail purposes,” an RSLPF statement disclosed.

During another operation on March 11th, police arrested a male who brandished an illegal arm at Fond Benier, Soufriere.

During the course of his arrest, he sustained a gunshot injury. He is currently receiving medical care, and is reported to be in a stable condition.

A Smith and Wesson pistol and one (1) magazine containing one (1) .40 round of ammunition was recovered on his person. Investigations are ongoing in this matter,” the police said.

Reports indicate that the male sustained the injury to his testicular region after fleeing a police traffic blockade.
