The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority has released its quarterly arrival reports for 2024 and according to the figures, arrivals have steadily increased from 2023.
Stopover arrivals for the first quarter peaked at 120,261 - an 11.3% increase from 2023.
This was a 5,000 visitor increase from 2019 - which peaked at 114,000 stopovers in the first quarter. Notably, 2019 recorded the most overall visitor arrivals to date with 1,276,751 visitors.
As Saint Lucia continues to increase its room stock, tourist arrivals are expected to continue increasing.
Saint Lucia also recorded a peak of 388,869 cruise visitors in the first quarter of this year - a 7.9% increase from 2023.
This figure, like stopover arrivals, topped that of 2019. In 2019, Saint Lucia recorded 353,559 cruise visitor arrivals - 9.1% less than in 2024.
Yacht visitors for 2024 peaked at 15,072, a 3.9% increase than in 2023. The quarterly yacht arrivals for 2019 are not available.
In total, the quarterly arrivals peaked at 524,202, an 8.3% increase from 2023’s 482,906 quarterly arrivals.
