Martinez’s almost weekly appearance on said TV station was fraught with allegation upon allegation, chief of which is that a CIP Agent in Saint Lucia had undersold citizenship packages.
Referencing an August 1st email exchange between two supposed attorneys, Martinez claims that Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre rejected MSR Media’s settlement offer of “$9M” - the currency remains unclear.
According to an image which appears to be a screen grab of the email exchange, an attorney for MSR Media conveys to another individual that Martinez’s 9 million dollar offer is to be funded by those which he claims received kickbacks.
The author of this alleged email commenced by writing: “the $9M offer was in response to a request from the Prime Minister for what it would take for our client (Martinez) to resolve the matter.”
However, during this “bombshell” interview on August 21st, Martinez had this to Prime Minister Pierre.
“I would like to address a message to the Prime Minister, I've never implied in any of my interviews that you were in any way, shape or form involved in that CIP scandal. When Mc Claude came to DC and told us that you don't know anything about the CIP, we accepted it,” he said.
As to how Pierre, who is, by Martinez’s account, not “involved” in “that CIP scandal”, became an acceptor/rejector of Martinez’s settlement offer of “$9M” remains unclear, if not inconsistent.
In a move to seemingly hold Martinez and his utterings accountable, CIP Agent and US-based lawsuit defendant, Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate, has filed a defamation claim against the transnational Philippe Martinez.
On August 22, 2024, the real estate company issued:
“Caribbean Galaxy has filed a defamation lawsuit against Phillipe Martinez for spreading false information about our business. We are and have always been committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity in the CBI process, ensuring we work in partnership with national governments to provide substantial resources for the benefit of Caribbean communities.”
