He smashed Dominica’s Under-23 bowling on the third day of a Bilateral Series reaching the landmark nearing lunch at the Mindoo Phillip Park on Monday, August 19th.
Reflecting on the match, the young cricketer attributes this success to teamwork and support.
“I didn't even know about the record, but it's a good achievement knowing that my hard work has paid off. I must commend my teammates as well because I couldn't possibly have done that without them,” he said.
Auguste also commended the efforts of the Dominican squad for their relentless game strategy.
“I think they toiled really hard as well because in the first innings one of their batsmen got a hundred runs so you could see it was a good wicket to bat on. I think they bowled very well, they have some good potential in the team.”
Dominica batted first and scored 354 all out in 97 overs.
Dominica batting a second time was bowled out 124 giving Saint Lucia victory by an innings and 10 runs.
