The father of five - four boys, and one girl - is being mourned by the regional music fraternity.

His passing was confirmed by the publicist of his fiancee and fellow soca star, Patrice Roberts.

“On behalf of my client Patrice Roberts, I wish to confirm the untimely passing of her fiance, Ricardo Drue. This is an absolutely devastating time for Patrice as she tries to grasp the concept of this tragedy. Please keep her, his daughter Lyara, his sons his entire family, and their friends in your thoughts,” wrote Adanna Asson in a release.

In a second release, fans were made aware of a “picture and voice note being circulated” which was quoted as being “very disrespectful” and causing “tremendous trauma to his children, fiance, family, friends and team” which should be “immediately condemned and disregarded by all.”

Scores of condolences have been pouring out via social media from the music fraternity on the untimely passing of the Antiguan Soca Artist. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
