Following investigations of the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Mckay Flermius of Goodlands, Castries, evidence led police to arrest another minor in connection with the offence. Flermius succumbed to his injuries on February 24th, 2024.

“During the investigation, another seventeen-year-old (17) male of Ciceron, Castries, was arrested for causing the death of Mckay Flermius.  On Friday, March 1, 2024, the seventeen-year-old (17) was charged with the offence of Murder,” a police statement disclosed.

The minor is currently awaiting a bail hearing and an additional hearing.

Police investigations have also led to the arrest of a Barre Denis resident for the shooting death of 28-year-old Yannick Charles, of the same community. Charles lost his life on February 25th, 2024.

“Following this incident, thirty-year-old (30) Delon Charles alias “Rock Star” a resident of Barre Denis, Castries, surrendered himself into custody in relation to this investigation. He was arrested on suspicion of the offence of murder. On Friday, March 1, 2024, Delon Charles was charged for the offences of Wounding, Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place and the Murder of Yannick Charles,” a police statement said.

Delon Charles was escorted to the First District Court in Castries for bail and was subsequently remanded into custody.
