PORTS: Deanna Dujon once again proved herself to be a force to reckon with. Winning her second win of her amateur career Deanna is a shining star for Saint Lucia.

Coach Volt Murray and Deanna Dujon left Saint Lucia on Tuesday, March 19th to participate in 2 events hosted in Guyana. From the 20th to the 21st of March, Coach Murray and Dujon participated in the first-ever international referee and judges course held by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) in the region.

The instructor was Mr Warren Gill of Trinidad and Tobago, an international judge and referee who has travelled the world officiating fights.

Dujon thereafter went on to represent Saint Lucia in Guyana's first dual promotion MMA event promoted by Fight Central Guyana and Ruff N Tuff MMA league of Trinidad and Tobago.

Deanna Dujon fought Crystal Murray of Guyana defeating her by technical knockout by way of ground and pound. Referee Warren Gill stopped the fight after 20 seconds of the very first round when Miss Murray was no longer intelligently protecting herself.

This marks a huge point for Saint Lucia as this is Ms Dujon's second consecutive win, giving her her second gold medal.

Dujon says she will take a much-needed rest before continuing her training.

I will take a short rest then I will get back to training so I can continue to improve in order to keep representing St. Lucia to the best of my ability.”

Coach Murray is very happy with this result and said, “I am very happy with Miss Dujon's performance. She executed the game plan perfectly.”

With this win, they expect to participate in Pan-American championships later this year.
