he Ministry of Tourism announced an extension of the deadline for submission of entries for the National Storyboard Competition. Storyboard submissions are now due on Friday, July 19, 2024, by 4:30 pm.

This extension encourages greater participation, thereby enriching the creative designs for the underwater sculpture park.

The Ministry launched the National Storyboard Competition for Storyboards to inform the Design of Saint Lucia’s First Underwater Sculpture Park along the West Coast.

This project forms part of Unleashing the Blue Economy of the Caribbean (UBEC) project, funded by the World Bank.

The National Storyboard Competition is open to all citizens from ten years of age. As part of the competition’s guidelines, the Ministry will be looking for storyboards that are authentic, unique and clearly illustrate the selected theme(s) of culture, heritage and history.

This competition will showcase the artistic and creative capabilities of our people while telling Saint Lucia’s stories of culture, history, and heritage. Tell stories that capture the essence of Saint Lucia and let your expressions shine through your storyboards,” encouraged Tourism Minister, Dr Ernest Hilaire.

The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of EC$10,500. 2nd Place and 3rd Place will receive prizes of EC$3,500.00 and EC$2,000.00 respectively.
