Daughter of Government Legislator on Drug-Related Charges

ARBADOS: The 21-year-old daughter of a Barbados government legislator will return to court on February 7 after she was charged with several drug-related charges on Tuesday (Jan. 2, 2024).

Tonneil Rowe was granted BDS$75,000 bail when she appeared before Magistrate Carolyn Ward Sargeant in the District B Magistrates’ Court.

The daughter of government legislator, Neil Rowe, is facing multiple charges including trafficking, possession, supply, and importation of marijuana and money laundering.

According to police, the weight of the suspected cannabis is 30.45 kilograms valued at BDS$243,600. Senior Counsel Michael Lashley told reporters that Rowe will return to court on February 20 and will also make another appearance on May 7.
