The deceased has been identified by relatives as thirty-year-old Chessie Sealy. According to initial reports, a bus driver is in police custody concerning the stabbing.

Sealy’s sister told members of the press that she rushed to the hospital once learning of his incident. “When I reached the hospital this morning, [at] about after 9, minutes to 10, they [told] me my brother die[d],” the sister revealed. “My brother didn’t deserve that”, she added. According to her, the family is still in shock, and is unable to come to terms with the incident.

According to reports from bus drivers, a disagreement between Sealy and a Gros Islet bus driver led to the fatal incident.
